With our assistance, EBMUD initiated WaterSmart, an umbrella brand for its water conservation programs. Through the WaterSmart brand, the District added a Certification and Recognition Program to allow its non-residential clients (businesses, industry, and institutions) to be recognized by their customers and/or peers for achieving an established community-wide benchmark for their customer type’s water conservation efforts.

We developed a community-based social marketing program aimed at convincing large and small businesses to change their water use behavior and participate in the EBMUD WaterSmart Certification and Recognition Program. Our EBMUD outreach communications kit included branding, logo treatment, collateral materials, and participant plaques, signage, and window clings. Flycatcher also managed the process of integrating the EBMUD brand with the existing WaterSmart brand.
